WAC 2025 in Paris – What a Night! 🎉

On 6 November 2025, the London Business School community gathered on the Champs-Élysées for the Worldwide Alumni Celebration (WAC), an event proudly organised by the London Business School · France Alumni Club.

More than 60 alumni from different programmes, years and professional paths came together to reconnect, exchange perspectives and celebrate what makes the LBS community so distinctive.

To everyone who was there: thank you for your presence, your conversations, your curiosity, and (above all) your good humour. The energy in the room was genuine and memorable.

A Few Toasts That Kickstarted the Evening 🥂

➡️ Michel Dayanithi (MiM 2018 & founder at Syntaxe) had the privilege of sharing a personal insight first learned during his time at LBS, and that experience has confirmed again and again since: the real key to building a business lies in choosing the right people, in the team you bring on board.

➡️ Bérengère Nagy (MiM 2022) gave us at look at some exciting developments ahead at LBS, notably the ongoing Forever Forward fundraising initiative, enabling the School to lead the way in business research and in diverse recruitment.

➡️ Anne Duncan (PhD), President at the British Council in France, spoke about ongoing UK-France academic cooperation and encouraged the community to take part in Alumni UK Live, the global online professional development festival led by the British Council.

➡️ Janete Macedo (MBA 2002) reflected on the mission and history of the LBS France Alumni Club, and on the role LBS has played in her professional and personal journey. She also highlighted the upcoming Global Give Day (12 November) and encouraged alumni to stay engaged with the community and future LBS France Alumni Club events.

Change of Presidency 🔄

A special and emotional moment came when Janete, after many dedicated years as President of the LBS France Alumni Club, announced that she will be passing the baton to Bérengère. Following the transition period, Janete will remain a member of the Club committee.

Thank you, Janete, for everything you have given. And congratulations, Bérengère, we look forward to the chapter ahead.

A Community Coming Together 🌍

The celebration took place in the Syntaxe offices, which offered a lovely view over the Champs-Élysées. But what really made the evening was the people in the room. Our team was genuinely honoured to welcome such distinguished guests.

And yes, the goodies were a hit (turns out enthusiasm has no age limit). Too bad for those who couldn’t make it this time, they missed out.
